Diego Rubio (Caja Rural-Seguros RGA), most aggressive rider: “That's just how it is. We gave it our best and we couldn't do more. It was really hard. There was a lot of headwind, we spent many kilometres in the break, and we were only two riders for the last 60km. We made it hard for the peloton and we can't ask much more to two riders on their own. We always have to keep hoping and fighting until the end. In the climb, we went full gas with Rossetto and we managed to win some time. We knew it would be difficult, they caught us with 8km to go.”
