Miguel Angel Lopez (Astana), best young rider: “First of all I have to thank my teammates because they've been doing an amazing work putting two men at the front to reduce the time gap. Luis Leon (Sanchez) and Pello (Bilbao) have been magnificent at the front of the bunch. In the end we came short by very little. We deserved it. The important thing is to have the great sensations I was having today. Tomorrow will be a great day to have good legs again. Of course, if I do, I'll try again.”
