Málaga - Valdepeñas de Jaén
Tuesday August 31st
177,0 kms.

Malaga, which had not hosted a stage since 2006 when it was the official starting point for this race, will be the start of a twisting and turning course, including the cat 3 Montefrío Pass and two cat 2 passes, the Ventas de Zafarraya Pass and the Valdepeñas Pass, the latter for the first time in this race, located just eight kilometers from the finish line.

Valdepeñas de Jaén will be hosting La Vuelta for the first time, after the Pandera Mountain Ranges having played the leading roll in recent years for finishing stages in Jaen.
