This La Vuelta edition’s first and only individual time trial. This time trialists race will be held with the starting and finish line in the town of Peñafiel (Valladolid), included for the first time ever on this race’s route. Home to the “Ribera del Duero” Appellation of Origin, Peñafiel will be the starting and finishing point for a stage which will run through its famous wineries.

The time trialists have here their one single chance to stand out at this 2010 edition. Flat stage, with long straight stretches well-suited only to those racers to make it to the final days of the race in strong condition.
