We will be leaving the Pyrenees behind with an almost flat stage taking us to Lleida. The only mountain pass is at Km 57, the cat 2 “Coll de Boixols”, which should be no problem for the speed racers, who may be vying to come in first in a fast-paced sprint to the finish line.

If Andorra la Vella has been one of the regular localities in recent years in La Vuelta, this is not the case of Lleida. The race has not been run through its streets since 1989, when Englishman Malcom Elliot carried off the victory.
