The seventh stage could be really interesting as the riders who had not suffered that much at the mountains, will want to get their prominent role back on the flat stages and this is a very suitable day for those adventurers to try their break from the very first kilometre.

Another important feature in this stage will be the downhill from Antequera to Málaga because this could give those ahead a great advantage. Málaga welcomed Vuelta a España for the first time in1936 and in her streets, winners such as Noel Dejonckheere, Fabio Baldato or Marcel Wust celebrated their victories. The streets of this city seem to be full of important names as in the edition 55, in 2000, that started in Málaga, Allex Zulle won the first time trial and achieved the first Gold Jersey of the year.

The strongest teams will have to work hard if they want to control those who attempt to be protagonists of the day.
