The fourth stage of Vuelta a España 2002 finishes in a city that has expanded so much during the last years, Roquetas de mar. This is another place in a list of towns and cities that welcome Vuelta a España after having ridden along a flat route near the sea and crossing tourist towns such as Garrucha, Mojácar or Carboneras.

The route offers the sprinters, once again, the chance to show their abilities and the Italian teams will try to impose their control as well. The last kilometres are going to be really exciting as the downhill from Aguadulce to Roquetas de Mar is continuous; that will be great.

The heat could be a tough enemy that day, and the wind will travel with the riders all the way on their left all day. Miguel Moreno´s team, Costa de Almería, will try to be the absolute protagonist that day.
